Common Laptop Issues And Their Fixes

Laptop Overheating

The most common cause of laptop overheating is due to the lack of heat transfer, which is because there is no airflow in the vents of the laptop. Tip 1: In that case, you should clean the fan with a cotton swab dipped in a drop of alcohol. Or you can also use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dirt from the graphic card.

Disconnect the battery from the computer and power on the computer only with an AC adapter. And Check if it computer powered on for a longer time. If yes, please follow below troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue or replacement battery:
  1. Remove static power from the system.
  2. To remove the static power, firstly disconnect the AC adapter and battery from the computer, then press the power button for 10–15 secs.
  3. Power on the computer with only an AC adapter connected to the computer and tap the F2 key until you see your BIOS screen.
  4. Please check the laptop AC adapter type under the main screen, then power off the computer and unplug the AC adapter from the wall outlet and from the portable computer for 5–10 secs.
  5. Connect the adapter and the battery of your computer to a steady power source.

Tip 1:
  1. Check whether the laptop has a WIFI button, make sure the WIFI button is on.
  2. Restart the laptop.
  3. Try a different laptop to see the same issue is there on another laptop.

Tip 1: If your PC is a desktop computer and doesn’t start, check that it’s not the plug socket at fault by plugging it into a different socket. If that doesn’t work, it could be that the power supply in your PC has failed.

Tip 2: Reseating/replace memory — In this case, you can try reseating/replacing memory. If this solution is not working then you have a motherboard problem
